It was my birthday on Monday and for once I wasn't in some small mining town (Mt Isa last year), on Marion Island (a fairly nice place to celebrate the passing years) or on an ocean tossed ship (I once had a birthday on the SA Aughulas with 35-40° rolls). This year it was nice and quiet. I woke up late, had a relaxing breakfast, opened my cards, read my birthday emails (there was a smile-inducing flood of those - thanks), had afternoon tea overlooking the beach and finished it all off with a Kate speciality salmon dinner and two bottles of finest grape extract. Altogether a swell day ... thanks SP.
My pressie from Kate was a slim iPod Nano - very sexy (both - for those who ask). I am busy learning how it works and converting my .wma files to something Apple likes ... oooo ... hang on ... I need to shovel another bucket of coal into my machine (upgrade is long overdue!!!!).
